Her life seemed to be changing so much so quickly. Or, at least, until she had time to think about it on the train ride. Before that, once the letter from Hogwarts had shown up, it had all been a rush. The trip to Greece, all the shopping... No wonder her siblings had seemed so worn out when they left for their first years. Still, she was better than them, she could handle it. However, she already was missing her school friends... and their money. Wizards might be better at games. Then again, they might be worse, at least at the muggle ones.
Her first train ride was finally almost over! She could see the scenery slowing down out the window as the train reached the station. Finally. There was only so much of the new stuff she could take. Trains, robes, on top of the limitations on muggle items. At home she had worn jeans all the time and had an extensive video game collection, but here it seemed to be something like a dress and no electronics. Admittedly, she rarely played most of them, but it was still like going into a new world. She exited the carriage before the train had quite stopped, having sat close to where the luggage was kept and wanting to be among the first there.
As soon as she managed to get to it, her luggage was coming down, a large suitcase and a bird cage that would be a bit roomy for an owl covered with a black cloth. The latter was handled much more delicately and protected the best a child her size could from the other passengers. Normally, she would have used her small stature to squeeze through the crowd to try to get off first, but that would only work with no luggage and certainly without the cage. No, she had to actually settle for the back of the line and wait her turn. How boring.

Just a few hours ago he'd been hugging Rebeka and Mike, the twins, his mum and dad, and feeling like a normal kid about to go off to a normal school where he'd learn business skills, geography, and everything else. But nope.
Because after he was hugging his friends goodbye, he was standing at nine-and-three-quarters, smiling awkwardly at his dad, handing over his MP3, cell phone, iPod, Nintendo, and the Hershey's kisses he'd tried to smuggle in. Odd enough, Sem wasn't missing any of it. Phones were confusing and useless (since when you decided to run around in the woods, they didn't 'get service'), iPods went dead far too quickly and the apps were just plain stupid (like Floooid and the police scanner) and Seamus was pretty sure he'd lost hearing in one ear because of his flipping MP3.
He'd stayed awake the whole trip, which was amazing for a teenage boy with nothing good to do and nobody to talk to. He was glad to get a car with a few other quiet students and nobody more. When everybody started getting up, Seamus Hayen did too, face blank. The Ravenclaw, with his tomcat perched on his right shoulder, towered above most of the other students, being at least six feet tall. He moved forward calmly, finding himself in front of a rather short (to him) girl who looked to be in her first year. He stared boredly at her, then at her covered-up owl cage, which Socrates hissed at. Now, that had Sem's attention, somewhat.
"Y'know, owls don't like their cages being covered."

It seemed like so long ago since Arianne hugged her sister Nevada and left for her 4th year at Hogwarts. She slept an hour of the way.
When the train-ride ended, she felt slightly nausiated. It wore off though. She saw two people. A girl and a boy. She walked passed him. "He's got a point. Owls enjoy having the airy spaces in between the bars uncovered." She said and stopped on the spot, standing not between them but on the side but still in the middle. She noticed the tomcat. She hid her caged rat behind her back, who was now awake, hiding in the back of the cage at the sight of the feline. She looked at both of them. Waiting for someone to talk. [SHORTBLAAH]

Getting off the very boring train ride was Ayden. He had the required uniform on, and nothing less or more. His hair was pushed back into a ponytail, like normal. He looked around the platform, not yet heading to the carriage. He saw Seamus talking to some first year girl. He walked over to the boy, who was taller than him. "Seeeem." he said, a smile on his face. Start out friendly, punish when they do wrong. It was just how he worked.

Seamus was looking at the fourth year student, suddenly feeling very awkward and out of place. he had participated in a conversation, kinda, which was rare for him, and now it was time to shut his trap.
He had no clue of the fourth-year's name besides a nickname, Blade. Turning away from the others, Sem heard Aydan and looked down at him. At first, panic came to Sem. Then, a sort of relief. Emotions were so weird. "Aydan," the boy greeted with a smile of his own, looking around. he felt out of place and freakishly tall now.

Arianne looked around at the group of now four. She decided to introduce herself. "My name..." She looked at her rat and looked up at them. "My name is Arianne. Just call me Blade, though." She said, her voice staying strong, though she felt like she would die of shyness. She remembered seeing the two boys around the school. But she had never seen the girl before. She oubviously is a First Year Student. Arianne thought to herself. She smiled. "And you, your names. What are they?" She asked to the other wizards. She kept her fake smile. Her rat ran around in the cage. "Shh. Calm down, Jiyu." She whispered to her scurying bleach-white rat. "Your tomcat. He woulden't hurt my rat, would it he?" Arianne asked the boy with the cat that was making her rat freak as if she was being chased by a cheetah. [Blarg]

The great mass of students would be greeted by the ever cheery and welcoming, Martin standing out from the crowd with his fluorescent pink mop and his Victorian garb, waving the cleaning implement above his head, so that the white mop head whipped back and forth like a great white flag. "Over 'ere!" He called with that classic welcoming and well-practiced smile across his tired, unusually haggard looking face.
Straining his eyes to pick out faces in the vast sea of faces he pushed through the crowd to the small group of students that had assembled. In an attempt to join the conversation his attention turned to the peculiar cage covered with the black cloth. "Got a big owl there?" He chuckled, one hand in his pocket the other holding his trusty mop, looking down at the new students calmly.
OOC: I'm drunk, sod grammar, sod everything, fuckyes.

The attention on the cage startled her. Darn, the hood thing did not work on all birds? "She's shy, seeing so many strange people scares her. The cover helps keep her calm." She barely managed to keep from sounding defensive, though she did hold the cage a bit closer to herself. "She's still young, and the cage is bigger than necessary for a bird her size." Granted, that was because it would not be for long -- it was a good size for when Aera would be full grown, but at the moment it would be quite roomy.
Before she could come up with anything else to divert the suspicions, however, someone distracted one of them for her, it seemed. She was about to start trying to find others her own age when the other girl spoke again. Blade? Sounds like something one of the muggle boys might call himself. Still, she would try to make friends. "My name's Cyrilla, and she's Aera." At the last part, she gestured the best she could to the covered cage, not that she planned for anyone to see the bird until she managed to get her smuggled into the school. No, of course a cat would not hurt a rat. The bit of sarcasm, however, was kept to herself along with her thoughts on the nickname.
Jumping at the sudden entrance of yet another nosy person, she turned to see someone who was probably a teacher or something. "I just wanted her to have plenty of space, since I have to cover the cage to keep her from freaking out about all the people around her." Yes, that seemed like a believable explanation. Once she had once more justified the odd arrangements, she relaxed enough to realize the guy had a mop -- a pink one, at that. Either a janitor or someone who just liked mops. Normally the latter would not even come to mind, but pink? She did not even know they made mops like that. "Where'd you get a pink mop?" She managed to sound curious, rather than mocking, as if she was genuinely interested in such a thing. Really, she just wanted to change the subject.

"Hmm, I guess that's a fair excuse." Arianne shrugged. She looked at the man with the pink mop. She raised her eyebrow and drew her attention back to the other girl. "Cyrilla, what a unique name. I like it. So, Cyrilla, is this your first year at Hogwarts? I bet your wondering about the nickname. I hang around guys alot when I'm not at Hogwarts. It's a nickname they gave me. I'm just used to it now." She stated. She knew probably that the cat would hurt Jiyu but some cats werent that type, like her cat at home. But she had to be sure. She wanted to calm down her rat but she coulden't lie and say "It's ok" because she wasen't sure if it was. He payed attention now to the man with the pink mop again. Cyrilla seemed pretty interested in the mop.

Ayden smiled at him, though it wasn't genuine. "How was summer?" he asked. He didn't mind Sem being taller than him. After all, when you were stronger, height didn't matter. "You missed me, right?" he practically cooed the last sentence to the black-haired boy. He glanced over at the child, and crazy janitor. "Hello Mr. Martin." he said. Any student who wasn't new knew about the eccentric man and his odd ways. Ayden personally found him interesting.

Martin absorbed young Cyrilla's question although it took him a moment to register what exactly was being asked. The blank exspression broke and give way to a mildly startled grin, but a grin all the same. "Oh the mop! The mop, the mop..Right" The eccentric Mr. Martin paused again to collect himself and fling the long pink item over one shoulder. "Its just one of those things you know?" He nodded once again, seemingly quite at peace with this reply he turned his attention to Ayden.
"Hallo" he chirped and offered his free hand to shake, happy to see a friendly face amongst all the new ones. "How you been?" Martin inquired casually, rolling on his heels again, a mannerism that just came to him naturally. The janitor had always been fond of Ayden, just one of those things, or at least he claimed. They had somethings in common after all.

She had definitely made no comment, so why the explanation? Was the girl a mind reader? She had heard of seers, so it was possible, right? A bit freaked out, she said, "Yeah. First year," before trying to find a conversation around her to jump into. Unfortunately, there was not much of that. Except.. The one who had addressed the man with the broom had mentioned a name. "Mr. Martin? Are you a professor?" She highly doubted it at this point, but anything to get disturbing thoughts of mind-reading students off of her mind was good at the moment. Come to think of it...
"Anyone like card games or chess?" Okay, so there was not a table to play at and her stuff was all packed at the moment, but it would be nice to know for the future, and hopefully provide a subject of conversation. She was tired of listening to people talk about things that had nothing to do with her. Come to think of it, when would they actually get to the school? They were off the train, yet now it just seemed to be a huddle of people not going anywhere. If it kept up, she would get sick of standing around soon. She shifted her weight from foot to foot as she looked around, now trying to figure out if anyone seemed to be going anywhere, though she could not really see over heads from her height.

Sem stared around, in slight panic again. But when Aydan spoke to him again, Seamus made an effort to look straight at him, and still returned the smile. "It was okay." The next question brought a kind of grin to Sea's face. "Of course," he replied in a similar tone, looking over at the rat. "Socrates, he... Uh..." The boy stared at his odd-eyed cat, which stared right back with a somewhat offended expression. (Or maybe it was Seamus's imagination.) "He'll stay if I tell him to."
The boy stared once more at his feline friend, which closed it's eyes in a rather contented manner before staring at the crazy man with the pink mop. "Yo, Mr. Martin," greeted Seamus quietly, watching the pink mop as if it had the ability to bite him.
